MI Trains Photo Exchange adds 120 more photos
News Date: 1/10/2004

MI Trains has added more photos to its Download section, through the Member Photo Exchange. To download these photos Click Here and select the photos you like. These photos can be used in the MI Trains Application, the MI Trains Photo Viewer or any other software that supports .bmp or .jpg files.

This 31st group expands the total number of MI Trains photos to 1,970 - contains Lionel - both Post War, Modern, and more Catalogs/Flyers, MTH, K-Line, and others.

We continue to take advantage of the latest features of MI Trains, posing both  .bmp  and  .jpg  photo formats, and posting multiple photo views per piece.

As is true with the prior Lionel, MTH, and K-Line photo postings, these all link directly into the most recent MI Trains September 2003 Version 4.1 update release.

Do you have the latest release of MI Trains?
Why not review to see what version you have?

MI Trains Members have found this latest version, with the updated catalogs and price guides as well as the MI Trains System enhancements - the latest being the ability to link multiple photos to a single item, is well worth the investment.
...   And MI Trains continues to be fun to use!

New postings are identified as   ***New***   We have posted photos from a number of Manufacturers - Lionel, MTH, and K-Line for sure. But you may also want to look at photos for the other Manufacturers, as well - Atlas, Industrial Rail, Weaver, Williams...

Please remember (as some Members have reported), the thumbnails of the photos are great, but with the speed of Your modem, it may take longer to download all the thumbnail images.

That is why we provided a choice...   either use the check box to see the thumbnails before you download the photo or just view the text before you download.

If you are interested, Click Here and follow this menu path,
         1.     You have linked to the MI Trains Picture Download Screen. Note the two boxes and the thumbnail check box. Use the pull down menu (little down arrow to the right of the first box) to highlight to which manufacturer you have interest, and check the Check Box if you would like to see thumbnail images.
2.     Click the Get Pictures button. Based upon the speed of Your modem, the download of the thumbnail photos may take some time. Should your browser time out, either click the refresh button on your browser, or click the Get Pictures button again, until all the thumbnails for that manufacturer appear. And of course, if you did not check that you wanted to see the thumbnails...   then you will not!
3.     Look over the photos available, and choose the one you want, by placing your cursor on that picture, and clicking. Note all the Newly added photos are noted    ***New***
4.     A new pop-up window appears, and the photo you chose begins downloading from the MI Trains Website.   Based upon the speed of your modem, the download may take some seconds or as much as a minute.
5.     When the photo appears in this new pop-up window, follow the directions on the top of the window, specifically...

6.     Place your cursor on the photo and right click your mouse.
7.     A pop-up window appears. Select/Click on Save Picture as....
8.     A second pop-up window appears, asking where you want to save the photo.
9.     Use the buttons at the top of the window  to direct the path to  c:\program files\mitrains\images.   This is the default directory for the Images within MI Trains.  If you changed your default directory when you originally installed MI Trains you need to enter that path in this text box.
10.     Click the Save button.
