MI Trains Photo Exchange Posts 38th Group of Photos
News Date: 1/24/2006

MI Trains Members continue to provide photos through the MI Trains Photo Exchange. Roger Johnson, Kevin Brown, and John Anderson contributed this 38th group of 150 photos, expanding the total number of MI Trains photos to 3,150.

With Member knowledge of MI Trains features, this latest group of Lionel - Pre & Post War, MPC, Modern,  MTH, K-Line, and Williams shows .jpg  photo formats and posts multiple photo views per piece.

As is true with the prior Lionel, MTH, and K-Line photo postings, these all link directly into the most recent September 2005 MI Trains Version 5.1 update.

Do you have the latest version 5.1 of MI Trains?
Why not review to see what version you have, and what features and functionality you are missing?

Simply use the red tabs at the top - look around!

New postings are identified as   ***New***   We have posted photos from a number of Manufacturers - Lionel, MTH, and K-Line for sure. But you may also want to look at photos for the other Manufacturers, as well - Atlas, Industrial Rail, Weaver, Williams...

Please remember (as some Members have reported), the thumbnails of the photos are great, but with the speed of Your modem, it may take longer to download all the thumbnail images.

That is why we provided a choice...   either use the check box to see the thumbnails before you download the photo or just view the text before you download.

If you are interested, Click Here and follow this menu path,
         1.     You have linked to the MI Trains Picture Download Screen. Note the two boxes and the thumbnail check box. Use the pull down menu (little down arrow to the right of the first box) to highlight to which manufacturer you have interest, and check the Check Box if you would like to see thumbnail images.
2.     Click the Get Pictures button. Based upon the speed of Your modem, the download of the thumbnail photos may take some time. Should your browser time out, either click the refresh button on your browser, or click the Get Pictures button again, until all the thumbnails for that manufacturer appear. And of course, if you did not check that you wanted to see the thumbnails...   then you will not!
3.     Look over the photos available, and choose the one you want, by placing your cursor on that picture, and clicking. Note all the Newly added photos are noted    ***New***
4.     A new pop-up window appears, and the photo you chose begins downloading from the MI Trains Website.   Based upon the speed of your modem, the download may take some seconds or as much as a minute.
5.     When the photo appears in this new pop-up window, follow the directions on the top of the window, specifically...

6.     Place your cursor on the photo and right click your mouse.
7.     A pop-up window appears. Select/Click on Save Picture as....
8.     A second pop-up window appears, asking where you want to save the photo.
9.     Use the buttons at the top of the window  to direct the path to  c:\program files\mitrains\images.   This is the default directory for the Images within MI Trains.  If you changed your default directory when you originally installed MI Trains you need to enter that path in this text box.
10.     Click the Save button.

Roger Johnson takes great care in his use of MI Trains features and functionalities. Check out his excellent use of the ability to take multiple views of each piece - which certainly serves to make for terrific insurance documentation. Supplied in this latest group are a number of photos of Lionel, MTH, K-Line, and Williams items.
Roger is meticulous in taking detailed views the front, back, and ends of the piece, including the piece loads, and item packaging. As an example, look at his Pennsylvania Die-Cast Depressed Center Flat Car - View A, by clicking on the name or thumbnail that looks like - - - >

And if you like, keep going and get the other 5 views!
