MI Trains
Reports

After you've input your train inventory, you'll want to review your entries with one or more of the MI Trains Software Ten Reports.
    • 4 Inventory Reports - featuring different sorts and data content
    • a Parts Needed Report
    • a Wish List/Items Most Wanted Report
    • a Box Report
    • an Available for Sale Report
    • an Items Sold Report
    • a Customizable Price Guide selected and sorted any way you want it...     by Category, Road Name, Both. Are you a Pennsylvania Railroad fan? Or a Caboose nut? Or both... How many Pennsylvania Cabooses did Lionel make? How many pieces have the Great Northern Name? How many Toy Fair cars are there? How many Mint Cars... Use this handy report to search, select, and print Your customized Catalog & Price Guide...
Take this report to Train Shows - Terrific no more dog eared, frazzled, obsolete soft cover guides!!

Or maybe, if you are a collector of Aquarium Cars, just how many are there...
Here's a quick peek...

1. It's so simple to produce a report. Just click on the Print Report menu bar, and open the Print MI Report Select window. Then highlight the report you're after.

2. The reports are driven from the information You provided... so for example, do You store your items in Set Boxes or in larger storage boxes? MI Trains handles that with a special place to record the information and a supporting report!

Below is one of the cars in Lionel's 75th Anniversary Set #1585. It's the Lionel 75th Anniversary Famous Catalogs Box Car, and as You can see, it's stored in the 1585 Set Box.

When you produce the Box Report, note all the items in that set box:

3. Below we've entered some parts information for this Lionel 726 Berkshire, as detailed within the "Parts Needed" Tab. And we've included some information about the engine cab on the "Comments" Tab. Both the Parts and Comments detail will appear on the "Parts Report" . Brilliant!

Don't spend time at a Train Show waiting for a Parts Supplier to get to your order. Print the "Parts Report" take it with you to the Show, and hand it to him. Pick up your order later. Or send the Parts Report to him to fill your order.

4. When you go to Train Shows, print the "Wish List Report". You know... a list of those items you REALLY want and wish you had, to either upgrade a piece you have or simply to add a piece you don't have. Just click on the "Wish List" indicator, and use the comments field as a reminder to you of actions, or facts, or maybe your strategy on negotiating for the item.

For example: I'm after a Lionel 2341 Jersey Central Post War Fairbanks-Morse (what lover of Lionel Post War isn't...). Anyway, I use the "Add to Wish List" indicator to highlight the item, and put in special reminder notes to myself - "Maximum willing to pay is $1,800 with box".

And that's the way it will be listed in the "Wish List Report". It's that simple!

5. Do you also sell your items? There's a Sales Information Tab, ready for you to record all the information you want... when you have sold the item, what was your asking price, what was the actual price you received, and more...
